I forget what movie the sample is from but I think it's an old public domain movie. The title was working title. John (of Doomsday Machine Schematic, Durian, Bituminous Pit) has/had a one-man side project called Icebath Suicide. Icebath Suicide was the working title of this song because of that band. We bandied around the idea of John doing back up vocals, but we could never make it happen, and Kyle and I couldn't think up a better title. Also, I totally forgot that I had already written a Goat Thrower song about the same topic.

It's about jumping off a bridge into a perfectly still, extremely cold lake on a very cold night, but when hitting the water, you create a bunch of nucleation points and the water and splash around you flash freeze, leaving you frozen and badly lacerated but alive, theoretically in some kind of cryogenic suspension until the weather warms up and you thaw out.
